Horringer Village Website

There has been a Post Office in Horringer for the past 100 years. It was  first situated in an annex of one of the thatched houses in The Street.  However, since the previous Postmaster retired, it is now situated next to the Community Centre.

 

Faced with the closure of the previous post office the Parish Council, supported by the village, raised sufficient money to build a purpose designed extension to the Community Centre and continue the business there. Being the only retail outlet the Post Office also sells stationery etc. and convenience goods, confectionery and ice cream.

The Post Office is also a Suffolk County Council'Library Link'. It is a very important feature for those who cannot easily get into town for their post office needs.
