St. Leonard's Church occupies a commanding position in the centre of the village overlooking the village green and the entrance to Ickworth Park. In many ways it is at the heart of the village community with a strong church membership and firm links through this to most of the village activities and organisations

There has been a place of worship here for over 1,000 years, and the pattern of worship continues today, reflecting both modern and traditional services.

The Church itself hosts many other activities, which have included performances by the Horringer Singers, Flower Festivals and an Art Exhibition. During the year of the Millennium our Church was one of only twelve churches in the Diocese chosen to mount the prestigious Stations of the Cross Exhibition: "Stations - the new sacred art".

We belong to the Benefice of Horringer, consisting of three other parishes: Brockley, Westley and Whepstead. The Rector is Revd Canon Simon Pettitt. Any enquires should be directed to the Rector or the church wardens, Susan Crameri or Philip Underwood whose numbers are listed below.

The Church holds various social events during the year which are open to everyone in our village community and beyond:

• Harvest Lunch after the Harvest Service
