Horticultural Society

We are a group of gardening enthusiasts whose main aim is to enjoy gardening and organise the annual Village Flower Show which is held in July on the same day as the Village Fete. Apart from our annual show we hold meetings several times a year on a range of topics of interest to gardeners and 'outdoor' people generally. Our range of activities are broad. Shrubbery
  • Visits are arranged to gardens of interest
  • Supply of seeds at discount prices
  • Promotion of Open Garden Events at intervals within our village
  • Visits to other meetings organised by other local Garden Clubs
  • Annual membership costs just £2. Further details can be obtained from our Secretary Jill Fincham

Following a bequest to the Horticultural Society by Mr. E A Lainson, members planted this shrub border in his memory on the village green. It was designed for ‘all year round interest’ and hopefully will be enjoyed by everyone who passes close by.
